A group of more than 100 tourists of Russian origins who live in Beirut or work in the Russian embassy and Consulate visited "Deir Mema" on Saturday, 6th of March, where they received a very warm welcome from brother Sergious who had lived for long periods in Monasteries in Russia. They held prayers in the small church and listened to a briefing of the Monastery's history by Father Michel Abi Haydar. Afterwards they enjoyed the breath taking scenery at this time of the year, had a small lunch, and left wishing they could come back to this beautiful place sometime in the near future....In the end we ask if it is possible, someday to see "Deir Mema" as a touristic attraction in the South???
