Mrs. Huda Kalim Nakad Bechara has been awarded.

“American University of Beirut President’s Service Excellence award on June 24, 2004”.

This award is given annually to the best performance of an employee and among all AUB & AUB-Medical Center Huda has been chosen to receive this award.

Huda has been working at AUB since 1979. For the past twenty two years she worked as a Programmer Analyst at the Computer Center. Then she was promoted to the Registrar’s office in June 2001 as Assistant to Registrar for Computer Affairs. Huda is a hard worker, devoted, efficient and responsible person. She never says no to work and performs her duties with pleasure and a beautiful smile that never leaves her face.

Below is part of Dr. John Waterbury – President of AUB word addressed to Mrs. Huda Kalim Nakad Bechara. Dr. Waterbury said:  

 “Ever since joining the Registrar’s Office in June 2001, Mrs. Bechara has relentlessly demonstrated outstanding services, courteous attention and promptness in performing her duties. Her devotion in helping went far beyond the call of duty, and has developed a wide reputation among students as the person to refer to in case of problems relevant to registration, advising and compliance.

By building the degree structures for all undergraduate and graduate programs into Banner CAPP, Mrs. Bechara gained a unique knowledge of the requirements of the programs offered at AUB, and generously provided students seeking advising at the Registrar’s Office with patient and knowledgeable guidance beyond her defined duties.”
